Our Grand Casino Tycoon Review for 2021
We’ll begin with the primary meat of our Grand Casino Tycoon review. As usual, we’ll discuss the Story, Gameplay, Graphics, and Sound on which our scoring is based. Then, we’ll add some extra tidbits to read about before you make any downloading or purchasing decisions.
The first aspect that stood out for the story portion of our Grand Casino Tycoon review is that there are several casinos you’ll have to run, placed in different locations. You’ll begin with the tutorial, taking you through the basics as a casino owner. There are objectives to complete, mainly focusing on the needs of various patrons.
As you progress through each level, the objectives become more challenging. You’ll need to find ways to make everyone happy so that the satisfaction levels increase. It’s similar to games like Two Point Hospital and Megaquarium where you need to focus on so many elements at the same time.
As soon as there’s an unhappy face among the patrons, you’d need to select them or the category to see what the problem is. Your next job is deciding how to place or rearrange items to increase the meter. While you may not care, it affects your potential income rate per minute, and may also mean you’ll lose more than you make.
The other interesting touch is when patrons win at the games or jackpots. You’ll suffer a loss and will need to make it back on the other slots and tables. In the end, it’s an effective business management model that gives this aspect a high score for our Grand Casino Tycoon review.
Next up is the gameplay aspect of our Grand Casino Tycoon review. There are many elements that make it so easy and exciting to play. At the heart of the simulation game is the build mode. It lets you select from various categories before displaying the items available in them.
Sometimes, it can be tricky deciding where to place objects. For instance, the toilets are huge bulky units that should be placed as far from the patrons as possible. They tend not to enjoy the smell when playing the slots nearby. You almost need to create a large clear area around it at the start to keep them happy.
Selling items is easy thanks to a small dollar icon, which comes in handy when you make mistakes. There’s a handy gambler menu that shows the patron types in the area, what they enjoy and their opinions on various elements. You’ll need to satisfy each of these requirements as much as possible to increase the satisfaction level. We found this extremely helpful for our Grand Casino Tycoon review.
You’ll only have a few items to start with, but they increase as you move to new locations with new gambler types. Overall, the gameplay is easy, depending on how well you manage to run your business. It takes some time for you to start making a profit, so don’t spend too much too early.
One last aspect we need to mention in our Grand Casino Tycoon review is the routine. Each personality type has a set routine, which will help you understand how to place specific items. For instance, the posh gamblers start with a luxury drink and then slots. If you place these items close together, you’ll make them incredibly happy.
One of the most impressive elements in our Grand Casino Tycoon review is the graphics. The colours are stunning, with neon lights and gorgeous visual effects. We also love that you can change the colour of various items, such as the carpets, which helps separate the different areas. You’ll even find some decorations that have a sort of fantasy aspect to them.
The user interface is fantastic, giving you all the detail you need to pass each level. In the bottom right, you have the build menu. There are different categories from which you can choose, opening up to different items. Each object has an image card with details when you hover over it.
The bottom right has the patron information section. There are four main elements we found for our Grand Casino Tycoon review:
- Satisfaction levels per category
- Traits and what they enjoy
- Various gambler personalities
- Their routines
If you want to speed up time and make money faster, the top right holds the timer buttons. You can also pause if you want to make some changes. The top left shows you how much funds are left and your income/loss per minute. Finally, you can view the number of patrons and your remaining objectives/trophies.
It’s easy to give a high score for the graphics in our Grand Casino Tycoon review.
Finally, let’s look at the sound in our Grand Casino Tycoon review. If you’re familiar with the gambling world, you’ll love the noise of the slot machines as the coins drop during a win. There’s also plenty of chatter when it becomes busy, while you’ll have music playing in the background.
Another impressive feature is the voice acting. Whenever the game shows you how to do things, or the Monopoly-like dude appears, you’ll hear some impressive speaking with some whimsical humour. We had a good laugh at some of the things he had to say, and other times, it stressed us out slightly when he had bad news.
To draw your attention to unhappy grumbling, you’ll hear a dissatisfied grunt. We found this incredibly helpful, especially when you aren’t paying attention to the satisfaction panel. You’ll also hear when patrons are happy or offering you a compliment.
Overall, we’re happy to give a great score for the sound in our Grand Casino Tycoon review.

What Stands out for Grand Casino Tycoon?
There are so many elements we enjoyed when playing the game for our Grand Casino Tycoon review, it’s hard to single out one aspect. When you combine all the elements, it presents such an exciting atmosphere. The sounds of the slots, the various colours and animations, the challenging objectives, the unlockable items…
For a simulation geek like me, I mostly loved the business management model. While I’ve personally not been big on the gambling scene, I’ve spent some time writing online articles for casino and sports betting sites. I might not be a fan of the industry, but I truly loved running my own business and taking on the various missions.
One last factor to mention in our Grand Casino Tycoon review is replayability. After you’ve mastered all the casinos, you’ll want to go back to claim missing trophies. Even then, it’s still a fun, casual, simulation game that you can open at any time and play differently.
Final Thoughts – Grand Casino Tycoon Review
We loved playing Grand Casino Tycoon. It truly has so many elements you can enjoy, even if you’re not into gambling. If you’ve ever wondered how casino owners make money, this game probably provides a good idea. I’m not ashamed to give it a high rating, as it really gave me a good time.
