Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 Is Now Live

The fog has returned to Sacred Valley once again.
Celenic Earth Publications is excited to announce that Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 is now officially live for readers to experience online. This new free episodic horror crossover expands the growing Sacred Valley universe while bringing together characters from two separate supernatural horror stories in a chilling shared nightmare.
Written by Shaun M Jooste in collaboration with Moira Ashe, the series introduces Trevor from Sacred Valley: Betrayal and Alyssa from Echoes of Betrayal as they awaken within the mist-covered outskirts surrounding Silvercrest Lake.
Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1, titled The Fog Returns, marks the beginning of a larger mystery that will slowly unfold chapter by chapter through a dark psychological and supernatural journey.
Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1: Entering the nightmare once more
The opening Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 follows Trevor as he awakens near Silvercrest Lake, immediately overwhelmed by the fear that he may somehow be trapped in Sacred Valley again. The memories of the horrors he survived continue to haunt him, and the familiar fog surrounding the lake only deepens his panic.
At the same time, Alyssa finds herself lost in an unfamiliar district wrapped in mist and silence. Unsure of how she arrived there, she begins searching for answers while strange sounds echo through the darkness around her.
As the chapter progresses, both characters move through eerie locations hidden within the fog. Empty streets, unsettling landmarks, and mysterious clues slowly begin drawing them toward a truth neither of them understands yet.
The first chapter focuses heavily on atmosphere, tension, and emotional uncertainty while laying the groundwork for the larger story still waiting ahead.
Expanding the Sacred Valley universe
One of the most exciting aspects of Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 is the introduction of the new Silvercrest Lake West District. This brand-new area expands the world of Sacred Valley while maintaining the haunting psychological horror tone that inspired the original novel.

While Sacred Valley and Echoes of Betrayal began as separate horror stories, both series explore similar emotional themes surrounding trauma, survival, guilt, and psychological wounds.
Bringing Trevor and Alyssa together within the same nightmare in Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 created an opportunity to explore how two damaged individuals react to fear, isolation, and the unknown from very different perspectives.
The collaboration between Shaun M Jooste and Moira Ashe in Chronicles of Betrayal Part 1 also creates a unique crossover experience for readers who enjoy interconnected supernatural horror universes.
