Celenic Earth Publications Launches Noir Horror Audio Drama Spectral Confidential

Celenic Earth Publications is proud to announce the launch of our very first original audio drama, Spectral Confidential, a haunting new audio series that blends supernatural horror, vintage noir, and cinematic storytelling into a dark and unforgettable experience.

Created by South African author Shaun M Jooste, Spectral Confidential follows the ghost-ridden investigations of Malcolm Sable, a man who returned from the grave with unfinished business, and Evelyn Blackmoor, the razor-witted medium who might know more than she lets on.

With chilling mysteries, atmospheric sound design, and a crackling chemistry between the leads, this weekly episodic series promises to keep listeners on edge, and coming back for more.

In the grand tradition of classic radio serials like The Red Panda Adventures, we are thrilled to unveil a brand-new supernatural mystery experience with Spectral Confidential, forged in shadows and soaked in spectral suspense…

Introducing Spectral Confidential: an original noir horror audio drama brought to life by Celenic Earth Publications, and crafted by South African author and storyteller Shaun M Jooste.

Each episode evokes the golden age of audio storytelling, blending ghost stories, detective noir, occult mysteries, and rich character drama into a weekly series that is as chilling as it is captivating.

Here is a taste of what to expect:

🎧 Voice Cast and Audio Production

While several enthusiastic female authors initially expressed interest in voicing the lead role of Evelyn Blackmoor, scheduling conflicts ultimately made it unfeasible. Rather than continue casting, the decision was made to keep the production fully in-house, ensuring creative control and production consistency from start to finish.

Shaun M Jooste will voice the lead character, Malcolm Sable, bringing his trademark noir grit and emotional nuance to the role.

All other voices, including Evelyn Blackmoor, the narrator, and various supporting characters, will be performed using advanced voice synthesis via our ElevenLabs membership, allowing each character to have a distinct voice while maintaining high-quality audio.

To enhance the atmospheric experience, Shaun will also be serving as the audio editor for the series. Free sound effects and ambient audio sourced from Pixabay will be layered throughout each episode, creating immersive environments and chilling tension that draw listeners deep into the world of Spectral Confidential.

Additionally, each episode will be released on YouTube accompanied by still image scenes to visually represent key moments. All visual editing will also be handled by Shaun, allowing him to fully realize the cinematic vision of the show across both audio and video. The first season will also be part of the Shaun M Jooste Universe Phase 2.

The first episode of Spectral Confidential, titled “The Grin That Stayed,” has already been fully scripted and is currently moving into voice production and editing.

While no official release date has been set just yet, development is well underway, and we can’t wait to share this dark, atmospheric journey with you.
