September has been an exciting month for Celenic Earth Publications, with authors continuing to approach us with manuscripts, publishing ideas and stories they want to bring to readers. Earlier this month, we announced that we had only six publishing contracts remaining for September 2026. That number has now dropped significantly.
Only two publishing contracts remain for September 2026.
For authors who have been considering submitting their manuscript to Celenic Earth Publications, this is an opportunity to secure one of the final available publishing spaces before we close our September intake.
From Six Publishing Contracts to Only Two
When we announced that six publishing contracts remained earlier this month, our intention was to let authors know that our available publishing capacity was beginning to fill.
Since then, four more spaces have been taken.
That leaves just two publishing contracts available before our September allocation is complete.
Celenic Earth Publications deliberately limits the number of publishing projects we accept. Publishing a book involves far more than placing a manuscript into a template and uploading it to an online retailer. Every project requires time for preparation, production, communication and eventual publication.
By controlling how many new projects enter our production schedule, we can manage each book properly rather than simply accepting every manuscript that reaches us.
What Types of Books Are We Looking For?
Celenic Earth Publications works with authors across several genres and categories. While fiction remains a major part of what we do, we are also interested in strong non-fiction concepts and specialist books.
Our publishing interests include:
- Fantasy, horror, science fiction and thriller novels
- Romance, historical fiction and other compelling fiction
- Children’s books and illustrated stories
- Poetry collections and anthologies
- Professional and educational non-fiction
- Automotive, sustainability, bonsai and astronomy books
- Specialist books written by authors with knowledge worth sharing
Most importantly, we want manuscripts with purpose. That might mean an enormous fantasy world an author has spent years developing, a frightening horror story that refuses to leave the imagination, or a specialist non-fiction book built from years of practical experience.
Every book begins with somebody deciding their idea deserves the chance to become something more.
Your Manuscript Does Not Need to Be Perfect
One concern that sometimes prevents authors from approaching publishers is the belief that their manuscript needs to be completely perfect before anyone can see it.
That is not necessarily the case.
A manuscript should certainly be developed enough for us to understand the story, concept and quality of the author’s work. However, publishing itself is a process. Editing, formatting, cover development and other production stages exist precisely because a manuscript and a published book are not the same thing.
What matters initially is giving us enough material to evaluate what you have created.
Authors should also never feel that they need to be famous, already have thousands of followers or possess an enormous marketing platform before approaching us. Every established author once had a first book.
We’re interested in the manuscript and the potential behind it.
Publishing With Celenic Earth Publications
CEP has grown considerably from its early beginnings. What started as a platform connected closely to my own writing has developed into a publishing company working with authors, creators and partners on a growing range of projects.
Our catalogue continues to expand across fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, comics and other forms of storytelling.
That growth also means we need to protect our production schedule.
Accepting unlimited manuscripts might sound appealing, but it would ultimately work against both the publisher and our authors. There are only so many books that can receive meaningful attention simultaneously.
That is why these remaining September contracts matter.
Once both positions have been filled, our September publishing allocation will be closed.
Don’t Leave Your Manuscript Sitting on Your Computer
Writers can spend years telling themselves that they will eventually do something with their manuscript.
There is always another chapter to polish.
Another sentence to change.
Another character to reconsider.
Another month to wait.
At some point, however, a manuscript needs to leave the safety of the author’s computer and enter the next stage of its journey.
Submitting a book for consideration doesn’t guarantee publication, and authors should always carefully consider whether a publisher is right for their work. What it does accomplish is something much simpler: it moves the manuscript forward.
If you’ve been following Celenic Earth Publications, researching our publishing services or waiting for the right opportunity to contact us, September is rapidly reaching its end.
There are now only two publishing contracts remaining.
Your manuscript could be one of them.
