The Elder Scrolls Online expands once again with the launch of Feast of Shadows and the arrival of Update 47 on PC and Mac. Players can now take on two brand-new dungeons tied to the Seasons of the Worm Cult storyline while also enjoying fresh base-game improvements like mount swimming, replayable quest dialogue, and more.
Console adventurers won’t have long to wait either, with the update arriving September 3 for Xbox and PlayStation.
The Feast of Shadows Dungeon Pack

ESO adventurers can now descend into two thrilling new four-player PvE dungeons: Black Gem Foundry and Naj-Caldeesh. These instances expand the ongoing Seasons of the Worm Cult storyline, placing players at the heart of desperate battles against necromantic plots and corrupted Argonian magic. In Black Gem Foundry, parties must shut down the production of soul gem–forged weapons before the Worm Cult unleashes them across Tamriel.
Naj-Caldeesh, meanwhile, calls on players to protect the remnants of a lost Xanmeer from Argonian necromancers who seek to twist its keystone for dark power. Each dungeon is available in Normal, Veteran, and Veteran Hard Modes, offering unique rewards such as item sets, monster masks, and collectibles. Whether you’re after challenge or loot, these new additions ensure plenty of reasons to rally your allies.
Update 47: A Free Patch for All Players

Releasing alongside the DLC, Update 47 delivers new features and improvements for the base game: free to all players. Among the most exciting additions is mount swimming, allowing your loyal steeds and companions to carry you through lakes and rivers without dismounting. Other highlights include Replay Quest Dialogue, which lets you revisit NPC conversations at the push of a button, and Unidentified Survey Reports, a new quality-of-life feature to help manage inventory clutter.
Players tackling the Infinite Archive will also enjoy the new Vision Rerolls system, adding greater flexibility and variety to runs. These updates may seem small individually, but together they enhance immersion and polish for every adventurer in Tamriel.
Access, Rewards, and What’s Next

PC and Mac players can access the Feast of Shadows dungeon pack right now via the 2025 Content Pass, the Premium Edition, an active ESO Plus membership, or by purchasing it for 1,500 crowns in the in-game Crown Store. Console players on Xbox and PlayStation will be able to join the action starting September 3, 2025.
With new challenges, rewards, and features, Tamriel continues to grow richer with every update. For those who want the full breakdown of changes and bug fixes included in Update 47, you can read the complete patch notes on the official Elder Scrolls Online site.
