What is the Dark Veil Society?
The Dark Veil Society is an exclusive collective of indie horror creators, born from a shared passion for the macabre and a desire to amplify unique voices in the horror scene. Founded in 2025 by Eamonn H Bradley and Molly Macabre, DVS emerged from a serendipitous connection between two storytellers who discovered a mutual love for the genre and a vision to make their mark.
Eamonn, whose creative journey began with fantasy (most notably in The Ranger, his homage to Lord of the Rings) found his true calling in horror after years of exploration. Teaming up with Molly, the duo recognized the challenges indie creators face in standing out. Together, they envisioned a platform where diverse talents and chilling stories could thrive. Thus, the Dark Veil Society was born, a group carefully hand-picked by the founders to represent the best of indie horror.
At its core, the Dark Veil Society is about strength in numbers. Membership is exclusive, with each creator chosen for their distinct skills and narratives, from writers to artists and beyond. Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to push the boundaries of indie horror, get our work seen, and carve out a space where originality reigns. In a world where going it alone can feel daunting, the Dark Veil Society offers a collective force, a veil of darkness under which their stories can shine.
Behind the Veil: Dark Society Members and Their Books of Terror
Step into the shadows and meet the twisted minds of the Dark Veil Society. This hand-picked crew of indie horror maestros is here to haunt your nightmares. Each member brings a unique brand of terror to the table, crafting books that claw at your imagination and refuse to let go. Ryan Krone

As a child of the early 90s, horror has always called to Ryan Krone, particularly anthologies. The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, Goosebumps and many more drew Ryan into a world of nightmares that never let go.
By day, he’s a nurse manager at a pediatric clinic. At night, a zeal for the uncanny beckons him towards my keyboard like a siren’s call.

Blake Myers

Blake Myers, a Gen-X author from rural Ohio, discovered his love for horror as self-prescribed exposure therapy, overcoming childhood fears sparked by the comedy The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Despite an early aversion to books, he became an avid reader post-university after earning a degree in Religion and Philosophy (2000).
A teacher and coach, his wanderlust led him to the Czech Republic, where he settled permanently after meeting his wife, gaining residency, and starting a family. Inspired by Stranger Things, he began writing, channeling his passion for the paranormal into stories. Though ADHD challenges his focus, he prioritized penning Who Put Bella in the Wych Elm?, driven by a desire to craft compelling, eerie narratives.
