Saturday has a wonderful habit of giving us permission to slow down. For writers, that can create the perfect opportunity to return to the manuscript that has been waiting patiently during a busy week.

You don’t need to spend the entire weekend writing. Give your book one uninterrupted hour today. Switch off unnecessary notifications, make yourself comfortable and concentrate on moving the story forward. You might write a few hundred words, revise an existing chapter or finally solve a scene that has been troubling you.
