Blessed Sunday Week 36: The Story Isn’t Finished Yet

There are moments when every writer wonders whether the story they are working on will ever become what they imagined. Perhaps the manuscript has been sitting untouched for months. Maybe rejection, criticism or everyday responsibilities have pushed the dream further into the background. On days like these, it is easy to mistake a pause for an ending.

But your story is not finished simply because progress has been slow.

Writing a book, building a creative career or bringing any meaningful project into the world takes time. Some chapters arrive easily, while others demand patience. The same is true of our lives. We cannot always see where the next opportunity will come from or how today’s struggles might shape tomorrow’s success.

This Blessed Sunday, give yourself permission to appreciate how far you have already travelled. You do not need to finish everything today. Sometimes the most important thing is simply refusing to abandon the story.

Whether you are writing your first chapter, preparing a manuscript for publication or still gathering the courage to begin, keep going. There are pages ahead that you have not written yet, opportunities you have not discovered and readers you have not met.
