Today, we have a wonderful announcement to make. We’re celebrating the 15th anniversary of our flagship epic fantasy series, Celenic Earth Chronicles. It was in November 2007 that the first book in the series was published for the very first time!
Here’s a look at the journey these epic fantasy tales went through to get where they are today. We’ll do a retrospective video and a series of articles on them soon.
Celenic Earth Chronicles 15th anniversary
It’s been an epic journey for our flagship epic fantasy trilogy, Celenic Earth Chronicles. Author Shaun M Jooste started planning the series in 2000, finally completing the first book in 2006. It would originally be published in November 2007, setting the stage for the rest of the novels.
Let’s take a look at each book in the series, which you can finally order from our online bookstore while still being available on Amazon and our other online distributors.
Windfarer
It took six years for author Shaun M Jooste to plan the trilogy and complete the first book in the series. It was originally called “Shadowolf: The Windfarer”, but Jooste shorted it over time to simply Windfarer. It takes place in a fantasy world named Celenic Earth, which is what our publishing company’s name is based on.
The first book introduces you to Shadowolf who lives in a world filled with magic, something you’d see in The Elder Scrolls or Diablo game franchises. It features a power node that’s been hidden and sleeping for several years. Due to a prophecy, the villainous Windfarer believes he can claim that power, but Shadowolf and his friends are determined to stop him at all costs.
While the Windfarer epic fantasy novel has an intense storyline that sets the stage for the trilogy, it shows the relationships between different people, the love between family, and how challenging it can be for people to unite against a common foe. It also has magic and combat like you’ve never seen before, putting you on the edge of your nerves. You’ll also see magical creatures you may know, with a few new ones created specifically for the series.
DragonRider
The second novel in the Celenic Earth Chronicles trilogy is DragonRider, published in 2008, a year after Windfarer. It was originally called Shadowolf: The DragonRider, but once again shorted by the author. It continues the story of Shadowolf and his allies but takes place two years later.
After Shado’s disappearance at the end of the first book, he returns with a host of dragons. It appears that the dark lord, Le’Mar, is determined to fulfill the next part of the prophecy by bringing the Dragon War from another planet to Celenic Earth. Worlds collide as battles rage on between different creatures and races while magic rages on among the elves and elemental mages.
You’ll feel the plot ramp up towards the end of the trilogy, with the DragonRider novel showcasing many major fights that could mean the end for Celenic Earth. Shadowolf and his allies do everything in their power to stop anyone from taking their world away from them.
Sadgi
While Jooste completed the Sadgi novel in 2009, he decided not to publish it due to issues with the publisher back then. When Celenic Earth Publications was established in 2016, he decided to publish the entire series under a new banner. The trilogy was finally complete, and readers could read the end of the saga.
Another two years have passed, and Shado returned to a changed world. He meets up with previous allies, trying to make plans to take Celenic Earth back from the clutches of the dark lord. There’s one more prophecy to fulfil, and this time, he’s determined to win.
It’s every magical creature against their counterparts for one last epic battle that you will never forget. The power of the Sadgi is at hand, and everyone is putting everything they have into this fight to reclaim their home.
Enjoy an epic fantasy legacy!
As you can see, Celenic Earth Chronicles has so much going on, and you won’t want to miss out on it. The 15th anniversary has spurred us to reawaken interest in the trilogy, so you should see more posts and videos from us about these novels soon!
