Recall: Empty Wishes – PC Publisher Announcement, Steam Demo Available

DANGEN Entertainment has announced it will be publishing Recall: Empty Wishes for PC platforms in Q2 of 2023.

Recall: Empty Wishes is a story-driven psychological thriller set in Taiwan following the story of a missing boy, Tommy, and his sister, Yonny, who has been trying to locate him. One day, Yonny discovers a toy phone receiver that she used with Tommy when they were children. The mysterious phone receiver connects Yonny and her friend, Phoebe, to the Gallery of Empty Wishes, where they find themselves able to enter the memory echoes of people connected to Tommy. Using the receiver, they delve into these people’s deepest desires, and ultimately seek to uncover the truth behind Tommy’s disappearance.

Recall: Empty Wishes’ gameplay is controlled in 2D side-scrolling pixel-art environments. Each chapter focuses on a specific character’s past, as players take control of Yonny or Phoebe and enter their memory echo to proceed through the story. The player will have to explore different locations, interact with other characters, make dialogue choices, collect items, and solve puzzles to move forward in the game.

A demo for Recall: Empty Wishes will be available for play on Steam during BitSummit 2022. The demo will allow players to experience the first two chapters of the game. Information regarding the exact release date will be provided at a later time.

The Witch’s House MV – Console Release Announcement, Steam Demo Available

DANGEN Entertainment has announced that The Witch’s House MV will be releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles later in 2022.

The Witch’s House MV, originally released in 2012, falls within the tradition of Japanese horror RPGs with heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and jump scares. The Witch’s House is deliberately designed with traps at almost every turn. Sudden death is unpredictable and keeps players on their toes. Among other entries in the genre such as Ib and Ao Oni, The Witch’s House surprised fans with pixel-art that conceals truly frightening horror.

With completely remastered visuals, The Witch’s House MV was released on Steam in 2018 and will feel fresh to even the most familiar old-school fans. To commemorate the console announcement, a demo for Steam will be available during BitSummit 2022 for the first time ever.

Loretta – Steam Demo Available

DANGEN Entertainment announced the publishing of Loretta for PC and consoles in June of 2022. A demo for Loretta will be available for play on Steam during BitSummit 2022.

Loretta is a story-driven psychological thriller that makes the player an accessory to the heroine’s crimes and leads her through a self-crafted nightmare. The story is about a woman, dealing with betrayal, her husband’s infidelity, relationship problems and the difficult social situation of the 1940s. Gameplay focuses on choosing phrases in dialogue, interacting with objects, and making decisions which involve planning the murder and getting rid of evidence.

Conceptually and aesthetically, Loretta is inspired by the American art of the twentieth century, the works of Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper, film noir of the 40s-50s, thrillers by Alfred Hitchcock, the Philip Ridley movie “The Reflecting Skin,” the books “1922” by Stephen King and “Lolita” by Vladimir Nabokov.

Hunt the Night – Updated Steam Demo

An updated demo for Hunt the Night will be available for play during BitSummit 2022. The demo is a refined version of the previous one, taking feedback into account, giving players the latest taste of the game that is to come.

Hunt the Night is a retro-style action-RPG that combines a fast, skilled gameplay with dark fantasy lore. Players take the role of Vesper, a virtuous member of ‘The Stalkers’ as they explore the vast world of Medhram, a place filled with ruins and horrors. In their quest, players will traverse dungeons full of gruesome enemies, fight challenging bosses, and use their arsenal of weapons and dark powers to take back the Night.

Information regarding Hunt the Night’s release date will be provided at a later time.

Tactical Galactical – Updated Steam Demo

An updated demo for Tactical Galactical will be available for play during BitSummit 2022.

• New tutorial system that gives players greater freedom
• Refined scenario text
• More characters to converse with
• New character voices, sound FX and music
• New cards for use in battle
• Extended final battle
• Updated graphics, checkpoints, front menu and control guide
• Keyboard and mouse controls made available

Tactical Galactical is a real-time hex-based strategy game, developed specifically to be played with a controller, set in the world of a Saturday morning cartoon.

Players can choose between three different commanders and battle for control of a planet in furious Multiplayer Battles, or follow the commanders in a wacky romp in a carefully crafted Single Player Mode. Each commander has their own unique card deck, with abilities that utilize the battlefields in different ways.
