Welcome part 14 of our Silent Hill Retrospective 2022, where we have a very quick look at the Silent Hill HD collection.
Silent Hill HD Collection (2012)
We considered leaving this out of our Silent Hill Retrospective for 2022, but we decided to leave it in. Konami saw it as a chance to revive some of the old games, specifically the popular Silent Hill 2. It wasn’t really a remake, but rather, many of the aspects were upgraded or improved, and Silent Hill 2 and 3 were now available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
There was the new voice acting in the Silent Hill: HD Collection, and some of the combat and camera elements received improvements. However, Xbox players complained so much about glitches that Konami removed that version, refunding Xbox gamers that had paid for it. The Playstation version received several patches that seemed to help.
