Fallout 76: Gone Fission Update Now Live

Bethesda Game Studios has launched a brand-new content update for its popular post-apocalyptic online RPG, Fallout 76, and it’s bringing something unexpectedly serene to the scorched landscapes of Appalachia: fishing. Titled Fallout 76: Gone Fission, this free update is now available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, with access also included through Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra.
The update casts a wide net of content, including:
- A new questline to help players secure their first fishing rod
- Fully developed fishing mechanics influenced by bait, rods, weather, and location
- A variety of fish species with gameplay benefits like restoring health and hunger, or being cooked into special recipes
- Unique interaction with Linda-Lee, the giant hermit crab of Fishermen’s Rest, who trades fish for Legendary items
- New C.A.M.P. items and rewards tied to in-game fishing challenges
