Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is expanding its world once again, this time with a story-driven DLC centred on one of its most recognisable characters. Following the recent free Alarm Mode Update, the developers have unveiled Parker’s Story DLC, launching on 11 December. An announcement trailer has provided a first look at new missions, heightened tension, and a deeper dive into the life of firefighter Andrew Parker.
The DLC introduces two new missions that pull players into Parker’s past, showing a moment when he stepped into a leadership position during a high-risk event. What begins as a standard call-out soon twists into something far more dangerous, revealing the pressures, decisions and dynamics that shaped Parker into the crew member players know today.

Parker steps into the spotlight

For many players, Parker has been a constant presence throughout Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, assisting as an NPC crew member during various emergency responses. The upcoming DLC shifts the perspective, allowing players to take part in one of Parker’s defining moments on the job. Instead of watching him from the sidelines, the story places players at the centre of the chaos he once faced.
The narrative focuses on a mission that escalates rapidly, forcing Parker and his team into an unpredictable and hazardous situation. This shift in responsibility creates tension within the unit, revealing the emotional weight behind making split-second decisions in the heat of a crisis. It is a chance to explore the human side of emergency response work while tackling two intense, story-heavy scenarios.
Two missions expanding the Firefighting Simulator universe

Parker’s Story introduces two missions designed to offer deeper character development as well as challenging firefighting gameplay. These operations bring players into more complex environments, layering navigation difficulty with high-intensity objectives. The locations demand strategic thinking, teamwork and an understanding of the tools and mechanics that define the series.
Beyond the action itself, the missions aim to further flesh out Andrew Parker’s background, adding personality and history to a character long familiar to fans of the game. Firefighting Simulator has steadily expanded its cast through environmental storytelling and gameplay interactions, and this DLC continues that trend by giving Parker a full narrative arc.
Alarm Mode shakes up the base game

Ahead of the DLC, a major free update arrived on 6 November, delivering one of the most requested features from the community. Alarm Mode introduces randomly generated emergency calls that can trigger at any moment, bringing a fresh sense of unpredictability to the experience. Instead of following structured missions, players respond to incidents as they arise, creating a more authentic simulation of station life.
The update also introduced customisation options for NPC crew members, allowing players to refine the look of their team. Since the game’s launch on 9 September, regular updates have continued to enhance the overall experience, including new activities around the fire station and the ability to switch between uniform and full gear. These ongoing improvements demonstrate the developers’ commitment to building a living, evolving simulation.
The Parkers’ Story DLC will be released on October 16 for 4.99 EUR / 4.99 USD (SRP) on PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. The DLC is part of the Year 1 Season Pass.
