Following an exceptionally successful two-week playtest, StarRupture has emerged as one of the most closely watched upcoming PC titles in the survival and base-building space. A Playtest That Exceeded Expectations

The recent open playtest proved to be a defining moment for StarRupture. During the testing period, the game surpassed 500,000 wishlists, with more than 158,000 players stepping onto the hostile surface of Arcadia-7 to experience its systems firsthand. Viewership also soared, accumulating nearly 200,000 hours watched on livestreams, signalling strong interest beyond those actively playing.
Critically, the response translated into quality engagement. The playtest achieved a 91% positive review score and peaked at 6,701 concurrent players, reinforcing confidence in the game’s core design. For a new IP blending multiple demanding genres, this level of reception is a clear indicator that StarRupture is resonating with its target audience.
According to Creepy Jar CEO Krzysztof Kwiatek, the studio was thrilled to see players embrace the game’s unique mix of base building, exploration, combat, and survival. The feedback gathered has become a crucial pillar in refining the experience ahead of and throughout Early Access.
A Dangerous World Forged by Cataclysm

In StarRupture, players take on the role of a prisoner sentenced to labour on the distant planet Arcadia-7. Tasked with constructing industrial infrastructure for uncaring global corporations, survival is secondary to productivity, and danger is constant. Every system is designed to reinforce the idea that the planet itself is as hostile as the creatures inhabiting it.
At the heart of this danger lies Ruptura, the planet’s volatile star. Both life-giving and destructive, Ruptura triggers catastrophic events that repeatedly reshape the world. These cataclysms force players to adapt, rebuild, and rethink their strategies as environments change and new threats emerge.
The result is a world that feels alive and unpredictable. Exploration rewards curiosity with hidden resources and secrets, but every expedition carries risk. Arcadia-7 is not merely a backdrop, but an active force that challenges players to respect its power.
Building, Fighting, and Surviving Together

Core gameplay in StarRupture revolves around constructing and optimising complex industrial systems. Players must mine, process, and manage resources to unlock new technologies capable of withstanding the planet’s extreme conditions. Efficient base design becomes a matter of survival rather than convenience.
Combat adds another layer of pressure. Aggressive alien creatures regularly threaten both players and their bases, requiring careful preparation and defensive planning. Environmental hazards, temperature extremes, and sudden planetary events ensure that danger never feels static or predictable.
The experience can be tackled solo or cooperatively with up to four players, allowing teams to divide responsibilities between exploration, construction, and defence. This flexibility makes StarRupture equally compelling as a solitary survival challenge or a shared co-op adventure shaped by teamwork.
A Promising Future in Early Access

With the Early Access launch, Creepy Jar is committing to a development process guided by community feedback. The decision to extend development beyond its original launch window reflects the studio’s focus on long-term quality rather than rushing to release.
Early Access players can expect ongoing improvements, expanded systems, and continued refinement as StarRupture evolves. The strong foundation established during the playtest suggests a game with the potential to grow significantly over time, driven by both developer ambition and an engaged player base.
As StarRupture enters this next phase, it stands as a compelling example of how player feedback and transparent development can shape a bold new entry in the survival genre.
