What genres do you publish?
At Celenic Earth Publications, we publish across a wide range of genres throughout the year. Rather than limiting submissions to narrow windows, we follow a rotating editorial focus calendar, where each month highlights a specific genre for content features, promotions, and thematic spotlighting. This allows us to give deeper attention to each genre while still remaining open to diverse voices and stories.
Writers are welcome to submit at any time of the year, regardless of the monthly focus. If your manuscript aligns with a highlighted genre, it may benefit from increased editorial attention during that period. However, strong, well-crafted work is always considered on its own merit, no matter when it is submitted.
At Celenic Earth Publications, the genres we publish are shaped by both creative range and editorial focus. We publish across multiple genres throughout the year, allowing us to support a diverse catalogue while still giving each genre meaningful attention. Rather than limiting ourselves to a single niche, we believe strong storytelling exists across many forms, voices, and styles.
To manage this breadth effectively, we follow a structured annual editorial calendar that highlights specific genres we publish each month. This approach helps us plan editorial content, marketing themes, and promotional activity around particular genres, while remaining open to submissions in all genres at any time of the year.
How our genre focus works
The genres we publish are not restricted by rigid submission windows. Instead, our monthly genre focus allows us to deepen engagement with specific genres through articles, features, and targeted publishing discussions. This benefits authors by aligning their work with moments of heightened visibility and genre-specific attention.
Importantly, writers do not need to wait for a particular genre month to submit. We publish across genres year-round, and every submission is evaluated based on quality, fit, and long-term potential. The calendar simply reflects where our editorial spotlight is strongest at different points in the year.

Below is an overview of the genres we publish, organised by our annual editorial focus calendar. Each month highlights a specific genre, allowing us to explore its themes, trends, and publishing considerations in greater depth.
January – Biography and Documentary
In January, the genres we publish focus on biography, autobiography, memoir, and documentary-style non-fiction. These genres centre on real lives, lived experiences, and personal or historical truth.
We are particularly interested in biographical and documentary works that offer reflection, insight, and context. Stories of resilience, transformation, and social reality often resonate strongly during this period.
February – Romance and Erotica
February highlights romance and erotica as core themes we publish. This includes contemporary romance, historical romance, romantic suspense, and adult fiction that explores intimacy with purpose and emotional depth.
We welcome romance and erotica that prioritise character development, consent, and narrative meaning. Cross-genre romance is also considered where it enhances the story rather than diluting it.
March – Mystery
Mystery is one of the genres we publish in March, with a focus on investigative storytelling, psychological puzzles, and suspense-driven narratives. This includes classic mysteries as well as modern, genre-blending approaches.
We value strong plotting, carefully placed clues, and atmosphere-driven tension. Mystery stories that reward attentive readers are especially well suited to this genre focus.
April – Historical
April is dedicated to historical fiction and historically grounded non-fiction. Among the genres we publish, historical works require strong research, authentic voice, and respect for the period being portrayed.
We publish historical genres that explore both major events and overlooked moments, always with a focus on human experience within historical context.
May – Thriller
Thrillers are a key part of the themes we publish in May. These stories are driven by urgency, danger, and escalating stakes, often blending psychological tension with fast-paced plotting.
We look for thrillers that balance momentum with depth. Character motivation and narrative clarity are essential within this genre.
June – Fantasy
Fantasy is one of the most expansive genres we publish, highlighted in June. This includes epic fantasy, dark fantasy, urban fantasy, and myth-inspired storytelling.
We publish fantasy that demonstrates thoughtful worldbuilding, internal consistency, and strong character arcs. Series and standalone fantasy novels are both welcome.
July – Crime

We welcome thoughtful, respectful approaches to faith-based narratives, inspirational writing, and seasonal storytelling.
Submitting across the genres we publish
All genres we publish are open for submission throughout the year. The monthly focus helps guide editorial planning, but it does not limit when or how writers can submit their work.
Every manuscript is reviewed on its own merit, regardless of genre or submission timing. Strong writing, clear intent, and originality remain the most important factors.
